Now the most popular watersport in the UK, Paddleboarding offers unrivalled freedom, ease and enjoyment on the many Lakes of our National Park.  Join us on our top of the range fleet of Entradia SUPs to explore this incredible place.

We offer our paddleboard sessions in a variety of locations and lakes within the national park.  If you would like to paddleboard somewhere that is not listed below then please feel free to get in touch as this can almost certainly be arranged.

Paddleboard Coniston North

Our most popular paddle boarding destination, this session departs from the Coniston Boating centre.  This makes it the perfect location for anyone staying in our nearby to Coniston Village.  

Coniston is famous for many things, most notably for the world record holding David Campbell, who broke the water speed record on Coniston water in his craft 'Bluebird', which is now on display in the museum in Coniston.

Our instructor will provide you with all the gear you need.  After a little on shore instruction you will take to the water.  Your instructor will make sure you are safe, happy and will share their wealth of knowledge with you.  Depending on the group, you may journey, practice skills and play games.

Suitable for: Age 7+ (depending on weather conditions, children may have to share a board with an adult)

Fitness Level: Low to Moderate 

Duration: 3 hrs (including getting changed)

Paddleboard Coniston South:

Swallows and Amazons tour

Our most exciting paddle boarding destination, this session departs from Brown Howe car park, near the south end of Lake Coniston. This is the perfect launching point to visit Wild Cat Island of Swallows and Amazons fame.

The south of Coniston is famous for many things, most notably for the feature of Wild Cat Island in the famous book and film 'Swallows and Amazons'.

Our instructor will provide you with all the gear you need.  After a little on shore instruction you will take to the water.  Your instructor will make sure you are safe, happy and will share their wealth of knowledge with you.  Depending on the group, you may journey, practice skills and play games.

If you're brave enough, you can go for the Wild Cat jumps!

Duration: 3 hrs (including getting changed)

Paddleboard Ullswater

Our most popular destination in the North Lakes, Ullswater is the second largest lake in National Park.  Surrounded by high mountains the lake is striking and imposing.

From this destination, depending on water levels, it is possible to travel a short way down Goldrill beck, where the river leabes the lake.  Perfect for those in and around Glenridding, Patterdale and Bridge end.

Our instructor will provide you with all the gear you need.  After a little on shore instruction you will take to the water.  Your instructor will make sure you are safe, happy and will share their wealth of knowledge with you.  Depending on the group, you may journey, practice skills and play games.

Sunset SUP session

Experience paddleboarding like never before,

 

Experience a sunset like you have never done before.  From the comfort of your paddleboard, we will watch the sun go down over the horizon.  As the colours flood the sky, we will soak in the moment before heading back to shore before darkness truly falls.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to spend your evening in a truly unique way.  As the light begins to drop, its highly likely that you will get to see some of the 10 species of bat that occupy the lake district.

Coniston End 2 End

Paddleboard the length of Englands 3rd longest Lake!

 

Our biggest paddling challenge. We are the only activity provider offering guided and instructed paddleboarding the length of the famous Coniston water!​

This journey takes approximately 6.5 miles of paddleboarding and is no small task.  However, a can do attitude is all it really takes.

Thanks to our expert instructors almost anyone is capable of acheieving this incredible challenge.  We have had experts, complete beginners and everyone in between complete this amazing paddle.

What is included?

  • Proffesional and qualified guide/instructor, with all appropriate safety equipment

  • Wetsuit and neoprene socks (all of our wetsuits and socks are washed after every use)

What do I need?

Upon booking you will receive a kit list and itinerary for your activity, but in short:

  • Swimsuit/clothes to wear under your wetsuit

  • Shoes you can get wet 

  • Towel and change of clothes

  • Water if it is a hot day

How will the activity work?

Once you have met your friendly instructor they will issue you with a clean and well fitting wetsuit and neoprene socks for you to change in to.  Remember, not all of our venues have changing facilities, so be sure to check that you are happy with the facilities before you book.

Once you are changed and ready to go, your instructor will make sure you have all the information and instruction you need before you head out on the water together.  The pace of the activity is entirely set by you, as your instructor will make sure to tailor everything to your abilities and wishes.
