Private Walking Guide

On this activity you will have your own local, private and very well experienced Mountain Leader to take you on your mountain adventure.

Your Mountain guide will work with you to plan your day with you, so whether you would like to hand over the reigns and allow us to plan your day, or whether you have a particular objective that you would like to aim for, we will make sure the day is everything you want it to be.

Striding Edge and Swirral Edge
Hellvelyn

Do you want to ascent the Lake Districts 3rd highest mountain along the famous Striding and Swirral Edges?

Striding Edge is a striking knife edge ridge that runs along the edge of Red Tarn to the striking summit of Hellvelyn.  Justifiably popular, Hellvelyn sees many visitors every year, but not all that many who dare go via the Edges.

Join our highly qualified, experienced and friendly mountain guides as you ascend the infamous Hellvelyn Mountain.  We will first make our way up Striding Edge to the summit of Hellvelyn, before making our way down Swirral Edge.  For the super keen and fit, there is also the option to Summit Catsycam on the way down from Swirral Edge.

Suitable for: Age 12+

Fitness Level: Moderate 

Duration: 6 hrs /Full day

Distance:  7 Miles, 930m ascent

Yorkshire 3 Peaks

Its a Marathon with Mountains!

This is a challenging day walk that takes in the three largest mountains in the Yorkshire Dales; Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and in under 12 hours, although anywhere between 10 and 14 hours is normal. The route begins and ends in the small village of Horton in Ribblesdale and is a 24 mile ( 38.6km) round trip with over 1585m of ascent.

Adventure Outside can provide guiding, logistical support, travel and accommodation booking.  With Adventure Outside you will have a dedicated, experienced and qualified guide, carrying safety equipment.  For groups you will also be supported by a support vehicle.

National 3 Peaks

The Big one!

This incredible journey starts in Fort William, Scotland and ends in Llanberis, Wales. We will hike the highest mountain in each Country ‘Ben Nevis’ - 1344m, ‘Scafell Pike’ 978m and Mount Snowdon ‘Yr Wyddfa’ 1085m.

We will attempt to tackle these mountains in a total time of 24 hours.

The National 3 Peaks is a massive undertaking and requires knowledgeable guides, logistical and driving support, as well as accommodation organisation.  Adventure Outside are experts in this challenge and organise bespoke, group specific National 3 Peak events for private groups. 

Suitable for: Age 14+

Fitness Level: Very High

Duration:  24 hours walking and travel. Day 1 meeting, Day 2 event, day 3 travel home.

Distance: 24 Miles, 1585m ascent
